Visit Note and Session Note renamed

In a long-planned change, we’re renaming what you know (depending on the context) as either “Visit Note” or “Session Note” to “Treatment”. The new name more accurately reflects the nature of what you document plus it’s more intuitive.
Additional reasons for discharge

Discharge Summary note’s 'Reason for Discharge” has extra responses to choose from covering scenarios that clinicians run into at times. They are:
change of insurance
no further authorization
payer directive/denial
Telehealth place of service

You’ll be able to pick between two place of service options in your telehealth activities. “Telehealth (patient not at home)“ is the existing one renamed representing place of service code 02. It should still satisfy most payers. If your payer wants place of service code 10, select “Telehealth (patient at home)“.
Functional test scores in interim evaluation

Evaluations under home health designated as interim will automatically incorporate scores from functional tests completed exactly like the reassessment note does.
Capturing patient signature using web app

You’ve always been able to capture patient signatures in the iOS and Android apps. Yet some of you end up using the web app in the field or have other reasons to want to capture signatures outside of the mobile apps. Now you can. Signature capture in the web app functions essentially the same as in the mobile apps.
Expanded demographics in web app

The web app’s demographics area of the patient’s chart will conveniently include all assigned therapists with their phone number just as our mobile apps always have.
Logging in with username or email address

You’ll notice the login screen’s username field prompting for “username or email”. As implied by the hint, either one will be accepted helping you when unsure of your username.
Office preventing changes to calendars

If your attempt to modify or delete an appointment scheduled from the office triggers a message that you aren’t allowed, know that your office has a new capability to prevent changes to patient calendars.
Nursing and home health aide documentation

Nursing and home health aide documentation in therapyBOSS is getting a few updates. Besides some of its sections streamlined to improve flow, it’ll now be available in the iOS app and on the web. Further, nursing service was added for private-pay patients with dedicated notes to support non-home health settings.
therapyBOSS notes for home health skilled nursing service and home health aide service are fully compliant with the Medicare requirements including Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
